Helpful hints

  • Canned asparagus may be replaced with fresh or frozen asparagus. Boil in water until asparagus is soft enough to mash with a fork.
  • This recipe may be made with diced cucumber instead of asparagus.

Asparagus Spread

Why don't you just fix this recipe, so it includes the asparagus? It doesn't help people by simply putting it in the comments. The nutrition facts displayed are not even correct. Personally, I would copy the recipe to My Creations, but everyone probably does not use that function as much as I do. Sorry...just trying to help. Dietitian comment: The asparagus is already in the ingredient list and in the preparation notes. I rechecked the nutrient analysis using the low sodium canned asparagus, and there are no differences. It is possible you are getting different numbers if not selecting the same items I use from the USDA SR28 database or not using 16 for the number of servings. Glad to hear the Diet Helper My Creations is helpful to you!

you don't say how much asparagus. no rating because of missing ingredient/nutritional info. Dietitian comment: The ingredient list includes 8 ounces canned low-sodium asparagus. This is equal to a small can.
